Lamar Junior High School Project Scope of Work

1. Expand and renovate existing administration area
2. Refurbish exterior building including replacement of all exterior windows
3. Expand and renovate existing library
4. Renovate all existing instructional classrooms
5. Renovate all existing restrooms to meet ADA standards
6. Renovate all existing corridors
7. Renovate older science classrooms to meet new TEA standards
8. Renovate all existing departmental offices and workrooms
9. Renovate existing locker rooms and showers
10. Renovate existing gymnasiums
11. Renovate existing vocational areas to meet needs of new programs
12. Expand and renovate the music area
13. Enclose one existing courtyard to add needed additional classrooms and administration space
14. Add minor addition for new weight room
15. Renovate Home Economics to meet the needs of present programs
16. Replace approximately 50% of existing roof area
17. Improve drainage around entire site
18. Upgrade HVAC systems to meet new ASHRAE standards
19. Furnish additional electrical outlets at classrooms and offices
20. Renovate existing bus drop off canopy
21. Replace all building doors and hardware
22. Construct ramps to make all areas of the building ADA accessable
23. Replace all student lockers
24. Remove asbestos floor tile and other asbestos-containing material throughout the building
25. Furnish additional security lighting at the exterior of the building
26. Furnish additional staff restrooms throughout the building
27. Upgrade electrical service to the building
28. Construct a stage
29. Furnish an automatic fire sprinkler system
